Festival belanja online brand lokal pertama di Indonesia diselenggarakan pada 25-27 April lalu, melalui berbagai kanal online. Hari Belanja Brand Lokal ini diikuti oleh lebih dari 1000 brand tanah air.

Achmad Alkatiri, salah satu inisiator Hari Belanja Brand Lokal menjelaskan, “Hari Belanja Brand Lokal yang pertama ini diorganisir oleh dan untuk brand lokal Indonesia. Teman-teman dari beberapa brand bergotong-royong mengorganisir inisiatif ini, setelah melihat dampak krisis wabah yang cukup signifikan terhadap bisnis.” hingga saat ini, tidak sedikit brand lokal Indonesia mengalami penurunan penjualan hingga 50% karena krisis yang sedang terjadi. Ini kemudian memberikan dampak negatif terhadap keberlangsungan bisnis brand lokal yang mayoritas adalah UMKM.
